Jupiter, FL, March 15, 2014
"What makes you move?" and the hashtag #MoveForACause are a few of the new promotional slogan for the All My Sons Moving & Storage company charities they support. The Dallas based moving company ‘moves' for many reasons; short hauls, long distance, cross country, and on Saturday in Jupiter, FL All My Sons moved for Cancer.
Miami Marlins spring training is in full effective for their March 31st season kick off. As the Official Movers of the Miami Marlins, All My Sons had a very special guest appearance on Saturday's spring training guest, her name is Riley O'Keefe and she is huge fan of the Marlins and a 15 year old cancer patient.
Riley O'Keefe has been battling health issues since she was 16 months old and had to remove one of her kidneys. At 9 years old, Riley was diagnosed with Scoliosis and had to undergo surgery to place rods in her back. In December of 2012, Riley was diagnosed with soft tissue brain cancer and was recommended to start chemotherapy. As a strong minded young adult, Riley has faced her complications with a smile on her face and a Marlins hat on her head. Riley received an experimental surgery to remove the cancer and to her undying faith, the procedure went extremely well. After 16 months of chemo and surgery, Riley's hair is starting to grow back.
All My Sons Moving & Storage of Fort Lauderdale partnered with the Connor Moran Children's Cancer Foundation
in March to help a special child's dreams come true. Riley and her family (Rick, Teresa, and Carson O'Keefe) were awarded with 4 all-inclusive tickets to the Miami Marlins spring training game in Jupiter, FL. When Fox Sports Sun Sports got wind of Riley's special appearance, the Fox Sports team jumped in to make her afternoon that much more by asking her to come on the field for the first pitch of the game.
